Urban Health Media High School Reporting Project
Howard University and Morgan State University are partnering to help high school students bring the power of multimedia journalism to bear on persistent health issues in underserved communities in Washington and Baltimore. Students will learn how to write news stories, capture audio, shoot and edit video, take photos and incorporate social media. They will develop an understanding of the interrelated social issues — including housing, violence and food insecurity — that often make their communities unhealthy.
