Mill Hollow Volunteer Opportunities
The following is a description of the volunteer opportunities that are available. Please read through them and sign up. Give your availability when applicable. All volunteer opportunities are unpaid. Shelter may be provided when an overnight stay is required. Food and camping equipment must be carried in unless otherwise noted. Volunteer opportunities that involve contact with campers must complete a background check.
Refer, Send and Sponsor Campers
Dates: All summer

The most important thing we need from everyone is to spread the word. Referring and sending kids to camp is the best way you can help. Also, if you do not have a child to send you can be a sponsor. Many children dream of attending, but cannot afford it. Donate through the website or call 385-325-CAMP. All donations are tax deductible.

Group Leader Materials and Lesson Plans
Dates: All summer

We are looking for past group leaders/teachers that are willing to share their pictures, lesson plans, knowledge and successful activities. Please send whatever you can share electronically to info@millhollow.org. We can also coordinate to have your materials picked up if you would like to donate the physical copies.

Season Cleaning and Trail Clearing
Dates: June 6-12, Weather permitting - Volunteer does not have to commit the whole week. Sign up for a couple hours or a few days.
What is provided? Shelter in a cabin and meals will be provided. If you have special medically necessary dietary needs, please contact tracy.bodily@millhollow.org.

Volunteers will be given specific instructions at camp.There will be 3 years worth of trail work and campground cleaning to do. Work activities will include: clearing trails, cleaning, shoveling snow (if needed), unpacking trucks and boxes, painting and setting up for camp. We will work for as long as there is light. Additional immediate family members may attend with the volunteer, but no children may be left unsupervised at any time.

Alumni for Staff Training: Tips, Tricks, Traditions & Campfire
Date: June 9, 2016; 3:00-9:30pm

What is provided? Volunteers may eat dinner and stay the night at Mill Hollow, but are required to sign up using this form. The volunteer does not have to sign up for the entire time.

This will be a tips & tricks, and knowledge transfer with the purpose of bringing back and passing down as much tradition as possible to the new recruits. Volunteers will work with the new staff in breakout groups from 3-6pm and are also welcome to stay for dinner and the Campfire Training at 8:00pm

Alumni to Shadow Train During Session 1
Dates: June 13-15

What is provided? Meals and lodging

Dream of living the glory days one more time? Volunteer to help during Session 1 in your old position and pass on your amazing skills to a new generation. This on the job training will be indispensable to the staff as they shadow and learn from you. Selected volunteers must complete a background check.

5K Charity to Benefit Mill Hollow

We are fortunate that Geek'd Out Events has selected Mill Hollow as the beneficiary of their 5K on July 2, 2016. Volunteers are need to help with the efforts.
