    Roommate Request

If you have a roommate request, please provide your request below. In order for your request to be considered, your roommate(s) must also list your name on their housing application. *** A friendly word of caution: While many students feel that rooming with their BFF from high-school is a great idea, unfortunately it seldom turns out that way. In high-school you and your BFF would have classes together, you would eat lunch together and maybe hang out together a few days a week after school; but you would get a break from each other when you would go home - to your separate homes. In college, the opportunity to go home to separate homes becomes more difficult as your home is their home, and their home is your home. Opportunities to "escape" from your BFF usually become few and far between and friendships become strained and usually suffer. Our advice is to be adventurous and choose to room with someone you initially don't know.

    Procedures

A $500 housing deposit ($100 of which is a non-refundable placement fee, with the remaining $400 being held as a security deposit until the student leaves MECA housing) must be made. Only those students who have submitted the housing deposit and housing application will be assigned a room.
