This pacing guide is designed so that students engage with a range of complex texts, standards-based skills, and multiple and varied writing opportunities during virtual learning in the 2020-2021 school year. This sample pacing guide represents our best thinking without knowing the students in your classroom. By back-mapping the standards that are the focus of the instruction for the unit, you have flexibility in implementing the curriculum to meet the needs of your students.
