WAITLIST: McAuliffe Regional Lottery Registration Form (2012-2013 School Year)
Charter schools are public schools and are therefore open to all students on a space available basis. McAuliffe Regional CPS does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, creed, sex, ethnicity, sexual orientation, mental or physical disability, age, ancestry, athletic performance, special need, proficiency in the English language or in a foreign language, or prior academic achievement when recruiting or admitting students.
To register at McAuliffe Regional CPS for the coming school year, a Lottery Registration Form must be completed by the parent or guardian of, and for a qualified candidate, and submitted to the school before the registration deadline at 5pm on March 14, 2011. A qualified candidate is someone who has completed the previous grade-level work the previous school year, has residency in Ashland, Framingham, Natick, Holliston, Hopkinton, Marlborough, Sudbury, or Southborough, and whose parent or guardian has signed the Lottery Registration Form. Should the school receive more registration forms from qualified candidates than available seats, McAuliffe Regional CPS will hold a public lottery that uses a random process to determine who is enrolled. The lottery will be held at 6:00 pm on March 15 at McAuliffe Regional CPS. After available seats are filled, qualified candidates will be placed on a waiting list using the same random process. If space is still available after admitting qualified candidates, McAuliffe Regional CPS will choose among qualified non-residents using the same random process to determine who is enrolled. Qualified non-residents are those who have completed the previous grade-level work the previous school year, reside in Massachusetts, and whose parent or guardian has signed the Lottery Registration Form. After available seats are filled, those who are qualified non-residents will be placed on a waiting list using the same random process. If spaces become available, those waitlisted will be admitted in the order in which their names were drawn. Students on the waiting list may be enrolled as space becomes available. For your consideration, McAuliffe Regional CPS provides sibling preference for the enrollment of qualified candidates. Upon request, the entire Official McAuliffe Regional CPS Enrollment Policy shall be made available to each applicant.
NOTE: THIS IS FOR THE 2012-2013 SCHOOL YEAR. APPLICANTS ON THIS FORM WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED FOR THE 2011-2012 SCHOOL YEAR. ALL APPLICANTS CURRENTLY APPLYING WILL BE PUT ON THE WAITLIST.
