MSCS One-Year Visiting Professor Position
Mathematics and Statistics
Macalester College invites applications for a one-year visiting position in Mathematics or Statistics to begin fall 2014. Candidates should have completed a Ph.D. in Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field by the time of appointment and will teach courses across the undergraduate mathematics curriculum. We will consider candidates with any area of expertise but are particularly interested in candidates who are interested in teaching introductory statistical modeling.
Our department offers majors in mathematics, applied mathematics and statistics, and computer science. The multidisciplinary environment provides a rich and collegial setting for student education and faculty research. Our faculty value pedagogical and curricular innovation, undergraduate research mentoring, and mathematical and computational outreach. Faculty teach five courses per year, two in one semester and three in the other.
