Please consider accepting a Room Parent position in your child's classroom. You will be responsible for coordinating and implementing the Fall Festival Party. (October) Our Head Room Parent Coordinator will supply creative and fun party ideas, and you will have support from a team of parent volunteers.  You will organize group teacher gifts and encourage people to send pictures into the Year Book Event Leader. DATES: September-May

Library volunteers help check out and check-in materials, shelve books, and assist the library staff with special projects. Lenski’s dedicated library volunteers allow our great staff to spend more time working with the students. DATES: September-May. Shifts are from 9:00-12:00 or 1:00-3:30, and most shifts would be twice a month.

Our wonderful Literacy staff could use a little help.  Sometimes a student (or small group of students) needs to practice reading to an adult volunteer.  Volunteers receive training either at the school or at home via DVD/video.  DATES: September - May, 1 hour per week.

Gearing up for the Littleton Stride, help students get in tip top shape during lunch recess by keeping the kids motivated, and supervising the running action.  You can even put your sneakers on and get a quick workout yourself.  DATES:  September-October

Help support the School Captain with any volunteer jobs needed leading up to and on the day of the Littleton Stride. DATES: September & October

Two blood drives this year will help well over 100 Children’s Hospital patients. The big bus arrives in the Lenski parking lot and volunteers are needed throughout the day to help with assisting donors, maintaining the schedule, and providing snacks. DATES: TBD (One day in the Fall & one day in the Spring)

Volunteers to help support the Lenski Holiday Outreach Program.

Volunteers are needed to help with gathering students and taking them to and from the testing bus. A sign-up will be sent out to those interested with specific dates and time slots. DATES: end of November

Lenski reaches out to active duty U.S. military through this optional letter-writing campaign. Help promote this event and/or box up and mail letters to U.S. troops overseas. DATES: Time frame is mid November.

Want to find out what happens to all of those little box tops after you send them in. Volunteers assist in their collection and preparation. This is a volunteer opportunity that can easily be done at home and in the evenings.

Coordinate this event and help arrange volunteers. Welcome and provide friendly guidance as parents register for Kindergarten. Be prepared to make copies, pass out papers, provide tours and answer questions. Simple training provided.

A community outreach opportunity.  Help the kids make Valentine’s during lunch.  These Valentines are delivered to hospitals and senior citizens in the area to brighten their day. DATES: February

Help plan festivities for the 5th graders last week of school.  Events include, 5th grade auction, service project, fifth grade lunch and continuation ceremony.

Seeking team members with business background and technology expertise to serve on the Lenski Technology Advisory Board. The board will provide counsel on technology direction and to drive alternative funding initiatives. The board will meet monthly and be chaired by a Long Range Planning lead. The board would partner with the district contacts, Lenski technology staff, the PTO, and Dr. DeSpain. This role will be high impact with a limited time commitment and does not require time during the school day, so it is a great option for working parents.

Photographers needed, so that we can update photos shown on the  Lenski Website each year.  Photos will be updated the first half of the year. Photos needed of kids participating in activities throughout the school, school playgrounds, field trips and at special events. You will be asked to submit them through our Drop Box account with student names and teacher identified. DATES: September -May  Time: Flexible

Calling all shutterbugs!  If you have a digital camera and enjoy being behind the lens, we need you to take pictures of special class projects, events, and extra-curricular activities.  Maybe you prefer “scrapbooking” instead?  Members of this group will help create the layout of the pages and act as liaisons to grade level photographers to ensure events are covered. Must have access to a computer, as the yearbook is created entirely online. Simple training is provided! DATE: September through March  TIME: Flexible, some deadlines

Bingo night is a fun, family oriented event hosted by the staff at Lenski. Volunteers are needed for various positions including Assistant Raffle Coordinator, table and chair set-up, manning the raffle table the night of the event, and take down. EVENT DATE: TBD (Flexible prior to event and 2 hour shifts available the day and night of event.)

Volunteers are needed to help with Lenski Movie Night. This event will take place outside on the playground/lawn area. We will have concessions and various games etc. Please help us make this a fabulous event. DATES: TBD
