    Recognition Types Explanied

    1) Most Likely: -Will be recognized through a newsletter form sent to everyone in Residence Life -This recognition can be for anything you see that person doing consistently. For example if an RA always does awesome bulletin boards or if a Hall Director/Complex Director is always making rounds in the building. 2) Above and Beyond within position expectations: -For this we will present a certificate given out during staff meetings. -That individual did something above and beyond within the outline and expectations of their position. So if a staff member is being consistent in doing something awesome within the position this would be considered above and beyond or even if they handled a difficult situations really well. 3) Above and Beyond outside of position expectations: -For this we will present a big personal check to that individual by having other Residence Life Staff interrupting your staff meeting, an in-service, etc. -That individual did something above and beyond their position expectation. So if they did something for their Hall or for Residence Life that was not an expectation or requirement of them or anything relating to something outlined in their position expectations. 4) Awesome Job within position expectations: -This person will be recognized with a card or personalized door decoration. -For RA's this could be an awesome program or door decoration, for HD's and CD's this could be helping another staff member with their program or constantly being visible, for Leadership Team this could include getting forms sent out early or helping another staff member out when they are in the Residence Life Office. 5) Character Quality: -This person will be recognized with a card or personalized door decoration -This could be having a good attitude, working still when a staff member isn't feeling well, always saying hello, listening when another staff member just needs someone to talk to, etc. 6)Other: If you are unsure of what category someone falls in check this box.
