Our fiscal year runs January 1-December 31.

Cosponsorships, Outreach, Web/Tech, and Misc are added up by budget cycle (January 1-December 31).

Institute/Board Retreat and Creating Change are added up by event as well as budget cycle.

Misc includes virtual mail, insurance, taxes, shipping, and similar.

All expenses $500 or above require and have passed a full board vote.

As of July 2017, the Notes column in each sheet may offer context to specific expenses, including:

Whether a purchase aligns with a specific funding stream or goal (e.g. pipeline)

Whether a purchase was more expensive than an alternative, and why (e.g. local printing, union hotel)

Why an expense might be much higher or much lower than in the past
