It's Google Certification Bootcamp!
Join teachers and staff from across the district as we dig deep into Google Apps for Education. Explore training materials and collaborate to prepare for the Google Level 1 Certification Exam. This unique opportunity for professional growth is a great way to earn a "micro-credential" that demonstrates your leadership in instructional technology.

Topics will cover a broad range of technology tools and apps, and will focus on the skills both educators and professional staff can use immediately:

UNIT 1: Get Ready to Use Technology in the Classroom
UNIT 2: Expand Your Access to Help and Learning
UNIT 3: Have a (Mostly) Paperless Classroom
UNIT 4: Save Time Communicating
UNIT 5: Organize Activities for Yourself and Others
UNIT 6: Bring Meetings Online
UNIT 7: Bring Student Work Online
UNIT 8: Measure, Understand, and Share Student Growth
UNIT 9: Teach Students Online Skills
UNIT 10: Build Interactive Lessons
UNIT 11: Captivate Your Class with Video
UNIT 12: Facilitate Group Work
UNIT 13: Promote Digital Citizenship and Positive Online Behavior

The LCUSD Technology Staff will guide you through the Google Certification training materials, answer all your questions, and give you plenty of opportunity to discuss how you can apply these tools to your work. At the end of the week, we will meet to take the certification exam, which consists of a multiple choice section and a series of performance tasks to put your knowledge into action. It's a challenging test, but it's a lot of fun. If you need to take another shot at the exam, we'll give you all the support you need.

Exam fees will be covered by LCUSD, and snacks will be provided.
