'Tis the Seasonings - Herbal & Citrus Salts Workshop

Each family will make 4 cups of seasoned salt to give as green gifts this holiday season. You’ll also learn tips on creating customized herbal salts 
at home, so you can share even more with friends and family. 
We’ll also be sharing Simplify the Holidays family activities and ideas 
to inspire a greener holiday season that’s more about meaning and less about “stuff.”

Wednesday, November 30: ʻAikahi Elementary, 5:30 - 7:30pm (ʻAikahi ʻohana only)
Saturday, December 3*: Waiʻanae Coast Comprehensive Health Center, 1:00 - 3:00 pm
Friday, December. 9: Waiʻalae Elementary, 5:00-8:00 pm (Waiʻalae ʻohana only)
Friday, December 16: Sunset Beach Elementary, 5:00-7:00 pm (Sunset ʻohana only)
Saturday, December 17*: Oʻahu Fresh, Kakaʻako, 5:00-7:00 pm

WHAT TO BRING: jars for your salt (32 oz. total; for example, 4-8 oz. jars); cutting board, knife, small mixing bowl, vegetable peeler/zester for citrus rinds.
Optional: washed and well-dried herbs and citrus fruits

Workshop Sponsors will provide salt, organic herbs and citrus, and label-making supplies.

Space and supplies are limited, and registration is required. Workshop fee is suggested $5 per family and will be collected at each workshop.

*MAʻO CSA Members may attend the Waiʻanae Coast Comprehensive Health Center and Oʻahu Fresh workshops at no charge, but must register for their desired workshop.
