Introduction to conversational Spanish through games, music, videos, and other mediums. This class is designed to help you learn the basics and prepare for Spanish 1.

Students will learn basic cartooning techniques.  Students will complete projects utilizing these techniques.  Introduction to comic strips will also be taught and practiced.

This class focuses on techniques that contribute to the aesthetic quality of pictures. Students will study some fundamentals of drawing such as strokes, textures, values, composition, shading, color, single-point perspective, two-point perspective, horizon line, geometric shapes, and tracing & transferring.

Student will be teacher assistants in K-8 classrooms. Students must have a G.P.A. of 2.5 or higher and may only be an aide ONCE per year. If you have a specific teacher you want to aide for, please speak with them and request they send an e-mail to danaparola@iusd.org to request you.

Learn the fundamentals and practice the skills of softball. Students will play in team tournaments.

This class is designed to help players learn and develop a basic understanding of volleyball.   The class will include instruction in the basic skills of serving, passing, setting, attacking and blocking.  The class will also cover tactical skills of basic volleyball offensive and defensive play and well as the rules and scoring.

Students will participate in physical activities to increase heart rate. Activities may include circuit training, kickboxing, running, and other various activities.

Students will learn the fundamentals of soccer, practice ball handling skills, and compete on teams.

Like upbeat music?  Want to bust a move?  Love video games that combine catchy beats with dance routines?  Good at imitating dance steps that you see on the screen?  If you said yes to all of the questions, then this is the P.E. class for you.  Just Dance is based on the popular video game that gives you a great workout.  We'll start easy and progress towards harder routines, which you can practice on your own at home too.
