2017 InterPride Solidarity Fund Grant Application
Injustice and inequality exist around the world for many LGBTI people and communities. In much of the world, accessing funding support for even the smallest public actions and events is an enormous challenge. This fund is designed to address this gap.

In 2017, InterPride aims to give out up to ten grants of up to USD $2,500 each.

Our granting criteria:
• Projects must take place in the 2017 calendar year
• Projects that take place in the global South and East (ie. outside of Canada/US, Western Europe & Australia/NZ) will receive priority in the grant review process.
• Projects must support specific local events and activities that support LGBTI communities. We are particularly interested in local Pride events.
• Projects should be lead by or involve LGBTI individuals.
• Projects must be time-limited, such as political marches, parades, community gatherings, film festivals, special events, and celebrations.
• Project funding is allowed to cover costs such as staff time, advertising, space or equipment rentals, registration fees, purchase of materials.


What we will not fund:
• Individuals not connected to an organization
• Ongoing operating costs for organizations
• Ongoing program costs
• Capacity building or training
• Paying off organizational debt

The granting process is open on February 15, 2017. The deadline for InterPride receiving complete grant applications is April 8, 2017. InterPride will notify successful applicants by late April 2017 and funding disbursements will be made by early May 2017.

Section 2: Financial Status of Organization Title
This section for the grant application will collect information regarding the financial status of the organization requesting assistance.
Annual Income: Provide an estimate in US dollars of the total annual income of the organization from all revenue sources.

This section of the grant application will collect information about how the requested funds are proposed to be used and how they align with the goals of the InterPride Solidarity Fund.

Section 4: Supporting Documentation
In addition to the completed form, your grant application requires two (2) letters of reference from other organizations that are familiar with the work of the organization requesting funds. These letters of reference should be on the letterhead of the organizations submitting the letters and can be emailed to solidarity.fund@interpride.org. The letters must be received by the closing date of the application period. Additionally, if there is other supporting documentation you would like to submit -- spreadsheets, word document, etc. -- you may email those to solidarity.fund@interpride.org as well.
