SATURDAY NIGHT HOOP IT UP: BRING YOUR SWAG (Saturday, April 28th, Saturday, May 12th, Saturday, May 26th)

Date: Saturday, April 28th, Saturday, May 12th, Saturday, May 26th Time: 6pm-8:30pm Who: 5th-8th Grade Where: International High School Gym, 151 Oak St (Between Gough & Franklin) Max Participants: 30 participants Cost: $25 pre-pay, $30 at the door Please make all checks payable to: International High School (Please bring payment to the Athletics Office Mailbox located on the athletics office door. To receive pre-paid price, payment must be received by 3:30pm on the Friday before the day of the event Description: Hoop It Up is designed to allow players the opportunity to just play and get a feel for the game. This is an environment where players will be given the freedom to experiment without the thought of being corrected for every mistake they make. This is a night free of drills. Balanced teams will be made each Saturday. Players will participate in semi-organized 8-minute mini-games. Like "Old School" pick-up, the winning team stays on, losing team is off and the new team enters to jump the ball and begin another 8 minute mini-game. Player's need to use teamwork and all the skills they’ve learned to keep winning and remain on the court. Plus listen to music, win prizes during competitions and raffles.


INTERNATIONAL STREETBALL GAMES: 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament (Thursday, May 31st & Friday, June 1st)

INTERNATIONAL STREETBALL GAMES: 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament When: Thursday, May 31st & Friday, June 1st Time: 4pm - 7pm (Youth Division games will start at 4:00pm and elite division will start at 4:45pm). Who: 5th-12th Graders, Faculty Members  What: A two-day 3-on-3 basketball tournament for faculty, high school and middle school students.   Where: International High School Gymnasium-- 151 Oak Street, San Francisco Cost: $25 (pre-pay) or $30 at the door per participant (T-shirt Included), max 4 players per team Description: Fun and positive 3-on-3 basketball tournament for Faculty and 5th-12th graders. This tournament will last for two days. There will be two divisions high school and middle school. Teams will be bracketed based on their age, height, and experience level of individual players. Male teams who have at least one player 6 feet tall will automatically be placed in the upper division bracket. ELITE DIVISION The Elite Division includes participants who will be entering grades 9-12 in the fall and Faculty members. The subdivisions include a weekend warriors bracket and the ankle breakers bracket. YOUTH DIVISION The Youth Division includes participants who will be entering grades 5-8 in the fall. The subdivisions include a a girl's bracket and co-ed bracket (each co-ed team requires at least one male participant and one female participant). Each team can have up to four players per team. Prizes for Bracket Champs!!

SUMMER BASKETBALL CAMP - HOOKED ON HOOPS ELITE BOOT CAMP (Monday, June 18 - Friday, June 22nd)

Date: June 18th-22nd Time: 9am-4pm Who: 5th-9th Grade Where: International High School Gym, 151 Oak St (Between Gough & Franklin) Max Participants: 30 participants Cost: $300 This program is designed for those serious about the game of basketball and those looking to take their game to another level. The goal of Elite Camp is to give dedicated players a positive outlet where they will receive superior instruction and personal mentorship that will help them reach their basketball potential and achieve their goals. Our philosophy focuses on well-rounded player development. - The Psychology of Excellence: Learn how to think, prepare and perform like a champion—both at practice and during games. - Body control, balance and footwork: Master the most important—yet under taught—skills in the game. These three will give you the edge in competition. - Point guard vision: Learn how to train your eyes and develop new habits that will help you see the floor and deliver the ball with timing and precision. - How to finish at the rim with consistency: Learn the three crucial finishes and the reads needed to be successful in traffic. - How to be ‘a boss with the basketball’: Cut down on costly turnovers and put your coach at ease when the ball is in your hands. - 1-on-1 pressure: Learn how to control the ball and develop the necessary tools to be a dominant defensive player. - ‘Gut Check’: Discover the truth about training, what it takes to get to the next level and what YOU need to do to get there.
