Alternative Spring Break 2013 Executive Board Application

Applications are due Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at 11:59pm. The applications will be reviewed by previous ASB trip advisors, ASB alum, and current ASB executive board members who are not interested in applying for a position. A decision will be made by the end of the day on Monday, April 9.

Below are all of the positions available for 2013 Spring Break. To properly fill this out, put a '1' beside the position you most want to be considered for. If there are any other positions you're interested rank them in a descending manner (2, 3, etc.). If there is any position you would not want, selected "Not interested." These are the position descriptions: President: Run executive board meetings Responsible for the overall trip planning, including details like airfare, vans, and where to stay Coordinate activities with advisors Book spaces Conduct informational sessions Coordinate with the Habitat affiliate Team Development: Create team building opportunities and small group activities Create debriefing exercises for before, during and after trip Plan & create small groups to do debriefing Create experience and suggestion survey for ASB trip Create discussion points that show points of service learning and how it’s relevant once trip is over Fundraising chair: Monitor team member’s fundraising contributions Plan fundraisers--work with team members to organize fundraisers, delegate responsibilities Make timelines for fundraisers and send out reminders Treasurer: Count money Keep OSL, fellow executive board members, and advisors updated on the budget for ASB Make the SAF proposal with the help of exec board and advisors Attend any necessary meetings requiring treasures (SAF hearings, meetings that OSL requires all clubs to attend, etc) Keep track of any money that ASB is given during the spring trip Communications and Publicity Take minutes at each meeting to keep track of what is being accomplished Send out any letters, forms, etc to ASB participants Publicize ASB as much as possible Maintain relationship/ communication with Service Learning Interns
