What is Day of the Dead?
Day of the Dead is a Mexican tradition that celebrates the lives of loved ones who have passed on. It is believed that the spirit of those who have passed on returns during this time, every November 1st and 2nd to feast, dance, and celebrate with the living. In many households ofrendas, or altars are constructed to honor their memory.

LIFE, the Office of Spiritual Life and Service Learning, and the Student Center for Diversity and Inclusion are co-sponsoring an Altar Building Contest in honor of Day of the Dead.

Materials will be provided just bring some creativity!

When: November 1st from 3-6pm
Where: MTCC Welcome Center
