TEDxIIT Ticket Application To Attend Live Event on April 12, 2015

IIT Tower is a 19-story tall white highrise at the northwest corner of 35th and State streets, diagonally across from the Chicago Police Headquarters, and directly across 35th Street from Starbucks. The parking lot at the northeast corner of 35th and State, by the CTA  Green Line station, is free for participants in this event.  The 35th Street CTA Red Line station is about 1 block west of the tower.

The theme for TEDxIIT 2015 is X-Fusion. Fusion defines innovation. You will watch a range of speakers talk about a variety of topics from technology and leadership to music and medicine. True to the TEDx tradition, the speakers range from renowned and
established experts to emerging Internet stars. They include educators,
engineers, a doctor, entrepreneurs, an architect, a researcher, and an “ideator.”
There will be two IIT students, five faculty members, seven alumni, and three people
from the Chicago community (with some overlapping fusion of categories).

If you are a TED Head or curious about TED Talks, you will be in
for a treat--the transfusion of ideas, infusion of various topics, and cross-fusion
of multicultural networking. However, if you experience confusion now, or
prefer to sit idle and listen passively, you might enjoy watching the event on
line; you can stream it live on your mobile device or wait till the talks are
posted online.

TEDxIIT is organized by IIT students, under the guidance of advisors and professionals. All past talks were approved by TED and posted on the TED website.

TED culture is about collaboration, with equal opportunity and privilege. To honor the TED licensing agreement, everyone who wants to attend must apply online (one application per person). Upon approval, you will receive an invitation to register online. Seating at the cozy auditorium is limited.

TEDxIIT is looking for an "Alive, Engaging and Open Minded" audience representing a variety of backgrounds and professions, who will stay for the entire event. IIT alumni, faculty, staff and professionals are all welcome. This is a unique event that the students host for the community worldwide.

Check-in and networking starts at noon. Doors will be closed once the event starts. Late arrivals will be escorted in ONLY when time permits. There will be food and beverages during the two afternoon breaks and a post-event reception. Once your application is approved, you will receive free parking and other info. Dress code is TED casual.
