Background Information
On June 27, 2013, Governor Jerry Brown approved the biggest reform to school funding in the last 40 years. The reform is called the Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF). This reform gives school districts more local decision making authority on how they spend educational dollars. Each district was required to create a Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP).
What is the purpose of the Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP)?
The purpose of the LCAP is to help school districts prioritize funding based on the needs of students. This plan describes the school district’s overall vision for students, and the annual goals and specific actions the district will take to achieve the vision and goals. We want to involve all district stakeholders in the decision making process regarding the educational services we provide students.
What is the purpose of the LCAP Survey?

The purpose of this survey is to gather information regarding our programs within the Hueneme Elementary School District as we plan for the future needs of our students. We appreciate you providing us with input in several areas as specified by the new funding model in California schools.
