Theatrical Risk Assessment Helper

As the person doing a theatrical activity, it is your responsibility to risk assess the things you are doing, so that you can prevent danger to members of your cast and crew and the public.

It could become very important for you to prove you have done this if there were an accident for which you or your group were potentially liable.

If you have not filled in a risk assessment before, this is a form you can use to help structure your risk assessment.

It is just a helpful checklist to help you identify and assess risks. There might be other risks, and you will need to add these yourself. The assessment is not complete until you have identified all the risks in your show and what you will do about them.

We will use this information to stay aware of any risks or activity you might be undertaking so we can supervise effectively. If you are taking bigger risks and aren't controlling them, we may take action or require you to stop doing something.

Ultimately, however, it will be your decision and responsibility to assess all risks relating to your activity and how to control them, and to keep track of changes in the activity you do.
