I understand that in order to student teach, I must:
Attend a Student Teaching Intake Session.
Submit student teaching profile by February 7 (Fall) or September 6 (Spring)
Successfully complete my SEPBT Assessment Conference by April 15 (Fall) or November 15 (Spring)
Complete all of my coursework before I begin student teaching.
Attend the mandatory Student Teaching Orientation.
Send to Hamline official transcripts for content area coursework taken at any institution other than Hamline.
Complete and submit a criminal background check for the school district I am placed in.
Purchase Professional Liability Insurance.
Provide documentation of having taken the Basic Skills MTLE.
I acknowledge the following statements:
I am not allowed to secure my own student teaching placement.
My current location is considered, but is not the only criteria for placement.
I may need to travel, up to one hour maximum, anywhere within the 7 county metro area.
I will not be placed in a school in which I work, have family or friends working, or have children in attendance.
