GCPL Volunteer/Community Service Interest Form
Thank you for your interest! The process is simple. Fill out this form and a Branch Volunteer Coordinator will contact you when we have openings. Apply individually to the branches you are interested in. Availability varies from branch to branch. The expectation is that our volunteers will donate a minimum of 40 hours over a period of six months to a year with regular shifts of two to four hours.

*About Teen Advisory Councils:
This opportunity is for teens in grades 8 through 12 who would like to be involved with their local library branch on an ongoing monthly basis. Teen Advisory Council members meet regularly to plan, assist with, and attend programs. They help make the teen space a comfortable and attractive area, volunteer their time and talents, and help promote the library in our community.
In addition to volunteering my time, I am interested in sharing my talents in the following areas:
To be a Homework Helper
To help keep library materials properly shelved for customers
To share my technology skills
To offer my multi-lingual skills
To be a Reading Buddy and listen to children practice reading out loud
To be a Volunteer Mentor and help students in the Career Online High School program
Monday through Thursday 10AM to 8PM
Friday and Saturday 10AM to 5PM
Sunday 12PM to 5PM
