Roles and Responsibilities of Advisory Committee Members:
Advisory Committee member has no legal authority over the association’s activities. The Advisory Board does not have formal authority to govern AFND but serves to make recommendations and/or provide key information and materials to the AFND management. The primary roles and responsibilities of an advisory committee member are as follows, but not restricted to,

Engagement & communication:

• The advisory committee members are to engage the potential donors, Corporates, MNCs, Governments and Individuals to fund the research, translation and developmental run by AFND

Raising funds for research activities:

• Raising funds from national and international funding agencies by writing grant proposals and utilizing the same for research activities
• Planning, execution, reporting and publishing the research activities in peer-reviewing research journals, translating the knowledge acquired through real-life applications and reinventing the results based on the updated needs

Advising on programs / helping with organizational planning:

• Suggesting operational procedures for the Projects under Research, Development and Translation for smooth and effective implementation
• Recommendations in organizational Planning of manpower, projects and execution
• Working with inter-departments for the coordination for required synergy, convergence and also to oversee to minimizing duplication of efforts
