Required
Would you be willing to take in and care for an animal with medical needs?
Each animal is unique and at Good Sam we do not shy away from taking on homeless animals that need a little extra care. Good Sam provides each foster family with what they need to take quality care of their foster animal. This includes food, vet visits, medical treatments, and training resources). Your responsibility as the foster parent could include, transporting the animal to and from the vet and administering medical treatments (if necessary). You will be properly trained for any special needs circumstances before the animal comes home with you!
Do any children live in, or visit, your household?
If "yes", please indicate their ages and if they are comfortable around animals.
Your answer
Are you willing to have a Good Sam Foster Representative visit your home?
The CO Department of Agriculture requires all animal rescues to conduct a home visit of potential foster homes. This process is not meant to be invasive but instead helps us ensure that the pet that you are fostering will be safe and well cared for. These visits also help us get to know you and determine which pet would work best in your household!
Are you able and willing to transport your foster animal to adoption events, medical appointments, and/or to meet potential adopters?
