    Who Should Complete this Survey?

Participants of the NPS/GSA Mosaics in Science Program should complete this form prior to beginning their project. The Mosaics in Science is a program of the National Park Service (NPS) Geologic Resources Division in close collaboration with The Geological Society of America (GSA) and the NPS Youth Programs office. The program provides youth aged 18–35 who are typically underrepresented in science career fields with on-the-ground, science-based work experience in the National Park Service, and ends the experience with a week long career workshop in Washington D.C. Your Participant Agreements lists what program you are participating in. Please be sure to complete the form for the correct program. If you are unsure what program you are participating in please contact GSA.

It is our duty to preserve the integrity, stability, and beauty of ecosystems.
Land should be reserved for the greatest good of the greatest number in the long run.
Land is best viewed as a community, of which we are a part, versus a commodity, of which we have ownership.
Cooperation between organizations and communities in planning and the management of natural and cultural resources is essential to facilitating long term sustainability.
