The sudden closure of Kehoe Field forced Intramural Sports to drastically limit participation, and constrained Club Sports to unrealistic practice options. Both of these expanding programs are robust parts of campus life.
The University does not plan to take action on Kehoe for nearly eight (8) years. That is two separate cycles of Hoyas.
We, the students of Georgetown, strongly believe the administration cannot wait almost a decade before acting on this issue. It shortchanges extracurricular facets that make our life on the Hilltop what it is. The administration has said a new Kehoe Field could be built in a single summer.
We are asking the administration to implement a short term solution to Kehoe Field's closure so that we may continue to play the sports that we love.
