Assistant AOP Tutoring Coordinator Application

Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities:
o Plan and organize individual and small group tutoring sessions with college students participating in AOP
o Be an epicenter of information for tutors and clients
o Train students in study skills and time management techniques
o Work with students from culturally diverse backgrounds
o Serve as a resource regarding the Geneseo campus community and The AOP Department
o Develop learning independence in students.
o Head the Committee of AOP Tutoring Support including organizing and running biweekly meetings
o Assist in daily administration and communication with clients and tutors
o Assist in organizing group tutoring schedules and pairings throughout the semester

Qualifications & Skills:
o Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better
o Graduate Student preferred
o Undergraduates must have served as a peer tutor for a minimum of two semesters
o Attendance at mandatory training
o Must be familiar with Google Docs
o Must hold NO other leadership position on campus (Time Commitment: Approximately15 hours per week)
