Ashley L. Garrett is a License Professional Counselor (#2918) with a strong background in working with resistant clients. She is a Registered Play Therapist and Supervisor. She earned her Education Specialist in Community Agency Counseling and a Master's degree in Agency Counseling from Jacksonville State University. She has a Bachelor's degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Samford University. Ashley has special interest and experience in counseling children and adolescents, parents, and families in areas relating to behavior modification, social and coping skills, relationship issues, and trauma. Ashley has experience leading seminars and groups for churches, universities, business, public schools and other interested groups.

Mindi is a License Professional Counselor (#3305). She has earned her Bachelor's of social work, Master's degree in community agency counseling, and Education Specialist in Counseling from Jacksonville State University. Mindi is a member of SAPAC, a community based coalition that focuses on grassroots efforts to reduce substance abuse. She is also a member of NEA and ALCA, Chapter V.

Program Content Description / Learning Objectives:This workshop is a basic sandtray play therapy training. It will cover basics of the brain science behind sandtray therapy and how this relates to working with clients in the sand. Based on the content of this workshop, you will be able to: have a basic knowledge of the history of sandtray, an understanding of the tools needed to work with this method, why and how it works within the brain, and challenges of working with children and adults using this method.

Garrett Counseling Contract Counselors COST: $120.00

Making Payment: Once you register, you will receive a link in the email you provided to make payment. You have not RESERVED your seat until you have paid. This is very limited seating.

Cancellation Policy: If you contact us before the program date, you may exchange for a certificate to attend another program or a tuition refund less a cancel fee. Occasionally, changes are made due to unforeseen circumstances or participant demand. While Garrett Counseling will do everything possible to ensure participant satisfaction, Garrett Counseling’s liability is limited to the tuition fee only. If you cancel, 10 business days before the event, you will receive a full refund. Cancellation must be received in writing and can be faxed to 1-256-217-4162 or emailed to garrett@garrettcounseling.com. If cancellation is not received in writing, you will be charged the full amount of tuition.
