Application Class of 2019
Hispanic Austin Leadership (HAL) provides business leaders and professionals the opportunities to develop business acumen, civic awareness, leadership skills and a network of colleagues for life.

HAL seeks individuals dedicated to serving our communities. Participants of the program will be given the opportunity to develop an understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing the Greater Austin area. HAL is limited to approximately 30 participants annually. Acceptance into the program is based on an objective assessment of the information each applicant provides in this application. The HAL Selection Committee is comprised of HAL alumni. Because there are typically more applicants than class slots, applicants who are not accepted are encouraged to reapply.

Selection Criteria:
Applicants must
1) show evidence of a sincere interest in and commitment to improving the community
2) have the desire to increase their service to the community through holding key leadership positions
3) present a clear vision for the development and growth of the Greater Austin area

Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must
1) have lived in and/or worked in one of the 5 greater Austin counties (Williamson, Travis, Hays, Bastrop or Caldwell) for at least one year at the time of the application
*Applications that are incomplete and/or late will only be given consideration after all the completed, on-time applications have been considered.*

Program Cost:
1) Applicants must submit a $35 non-refundable application fee due with their application by Friday, July 20th, 2018.
2) Class members accepted into HAL must submit a non-refundable security deposit of $575 by Friday, August 10th, 2018 to secure your seat in the class. Security deposit will be applied to your tuition fee.
3) Remaining $575 non-refundable tuition fee is due by Friday, August 31st, 2018.

HAL is a nine month program designed to be participatory in nature. In order to get the most out of the program and to fulfill the mission of HAL, it is necessary that participants are actively engaged in the process.
