Bruin Leaders Project - Student Team Application
The Bruin Leaders Project is UCLA's nationally renowned campus-sponsored leadership development program. We offer a hands-on, seminar-based leadership development program that strives to make our participants better students, better leaders and better citizens. Utilizing a non-hierarchical leadership model, we believe that leadership is a state of mind, and therefore anyone and everyone has the ability to be a leader.

One of the crucial elements in our program is our Student team, which serves as BLP’s student governing body. We are looking to recruit students to fill the following positions:
1. Student Facilitators
2. Social Media Coordinator
3. Marketing Coordinator

As a student team member, you will commit on average 4 hours per week to BLP. The responsibilities for each position are detailed below:

STUDENT FACILITATION TEAM (SFT)

• Support BLP seminar facilitations throughout the school year
• Serve as resources to BLP participants who attend seminars
• Design and facilitate a seminar of choice
• Participate in BLP community service opportunities and other BLP events
• Chair or serve on one of our committees
• Attend mandatory bi-weekly SFT meetings
• Support the BLP marketing team for outreach and recruitment efforts

SOCIAL MEDIA COORDINATOR

• Market and perform outreach to students throughout campus to participate in BLP
• Identify developmental aspects that would improve social media performance
• Create a strategic publishing schedule for different social media platforms
• Perform timely and strategic updates for BLP's Facebook and Instagram accounts
• Monitor social media activities and analyze web traffice for performance improvement
• Collaborate with the marketing coordinator to propose and execute an overall marketing plan for the program


MARKETING COORDINATOR

• Market and perform outreach to students throughout campus to participate in BLP, including digital media, flyering, Enormous Activity Fairs, Bruin Day etc.
• Monitor and coordinate BLP's marketing efforts across campus
• Seek out strategic new platforms and partnerships to expand BLP's marketing outreach
• Analyze the effectiveness of current marketing activities and propose appropriate improvements
• Ensure the accuracy and timely execution of all printed materials for marketing purposes
• Collaborate with the social media coordinator to propose and execute an overall marketing plan for the program
