Dine-Out Restaurant Enrollment
Sustainable Seafood Week NYC (June 22nd-28th) is a culinary-fueled celebration that showcases the efforts of local fishermen, chefs, nonprofit organizations and communities to promote responsibly sourced seafood.
Restaurants and chefs participating in Dine-Out for the week will be featured in marketing that includes social media campaigns, onsite event signage, postcards around the city and other promotional materials. To join, you only need to feature an appetizer or entrée with a sustainable seafood ingredient.
We recognize that definitions of "sustainable" abound. Dine-Out uses the Monterey Bay Aquarium's Seafood Watch ratings as a helpful starting point. We expect the ratings will prompt deeper conversations with purveyors, staff and diners.
We also recognize that local and seasonal are important components to responsibly sourced fish. For Dine-Out, we ask that you commit to reeling in the details and communicating them to diners. Serve up fish with a tale: How the fish was caught or farmed, the species, who caught it, and any other information that your supplier can provide about how the fish got to you.
Whether you're already serving sustainable or looking to start, we've got you covered with training and support.
