Course: Sing, Dance, and Act Your Heart Out!
Students will perform a musical, complete with staging and costumes. Students will learn blocking and dramatic techniques. Each student will analyze their character based on the text, using reasons and evidence to support their ideas. Students will connect their character analysis to motivation for stage movements and the character's actions.
Course: Pop Goes the Concert
Description: Students will sing and play instruments covering current chart toppers, and present information on these modern composers based on their reading and research.
Course: 2 Dimensional Design
Description: * Students will create a variety of 2-demensional artwork during the quarter. * Some projects will focus on perspective (one-point and two-point). * Other projects may include optical art, map/blueprint designs, other forms of 2-dimensional art. * Students will be in charge of displaying and presenting their artwork in a showcase at the school.
