Forsyth Community Gardening Tool Request Form
Before requesting any tools, make sure you know which tools will be needed for your community gardening project. You can review the tools available for lending and see pictures and descriptions of each in the "Tool Inventory and Picture Guide" on the Tool Lending section of our website at:

A note about tillers: FCG has only one tiller available for lending, the Stihl MM55. This tiller can only cultivate the top 3 inches of soil. If you need to break fresh ground, please contract with a farmer to plow your site. If you need to incorporate soil amendments or cover crops, please rent a larger tiller from a hardware store.

Tool Lending Policy
Tool lending will occur on a first come, first served basis. Forsyth Community Gardening cannot guarantee that all of the tools you request will be available, but we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

Please request tools at least two business days before you need them, and confirm a pick-up date and time with the front desk staff. Tools must be picked up on business days between 8:30 AM-11:30 AM or 2:00-4:30 pm, at the Forsyth County Agriculture Building: 1450 Fairchild Road, Winston-Salem, NC, 27105.

Tools must be returned within four business days after your project unless other arrangements have been confirmed with the front desk staff. If you are unable to return the borrowed tools within the specified time frame, please inform the front desk staff immediately by calling (336) 703-2850.

While tools are in your possession and are not in use, they must remain in a secure, locked area. If a tool is lost, damaged, or stolen, please notify the Community Gardening Coordinator immediately by calling (336) 705-8823.

When you come to pick up your tools, you will be required to sign a liability waiver form before the tools can be released to you.
