This training is made possible with funding from the McCune Foundation, Fund for Santa Barbara, and the Kaiser Permanente Foundation.
• This training is only open to participants who are currently involved with a community organization, either as staff, Board, volunteer, or grassroots leader. This training is not suitable for unaffiliated activists.
• Each community group can send up to two participants.
• Your organization should prioritize those who have never attended a comprehensive organizing training and are in a role to put their newly acquired skills to work. This is an entry-level course, so seasoned organizers should send their community leaders or entry-level staff members.
• This training is open to adults and teens 14 and older.
HOW TO APPLY
Those interested in participating in the training should first apply by submitting the following application by March 15, 2017. The training can accommodate 40 participants. If more than 40 individuals apply, training participants will be selected based on how closely they fit the participant criteria. If you are selected for the training, you will be notified no later than March 31, 2017 and will then need to register and pay online at that time. Cost is $50 (includes continental breakfast and lunch each day)
