WHO SHOULD APPLY?The Boot Camps have been developed for Democratic women who want to run at all levels of office in 2017 or 2018. The curriculum is focused on the skills women need to jumpstart their plans to run for elected office. This program is also open to Democratic women who want to run for non-partisan positions, like the local school board. Boot Camp participants will join the ranks of more than 2,500 Emerge America alumnae across the country who have completed an Emerge training program. The training is not limited to first-time candidates. Current elected officials running for re-election or to higher office and candidates who have run before are encouraged to apply.
Female campaign managers are welcome to join the candidates but must pay full tuition for the program.
Tuition varies by region, and includes the training, associated materials and food (three breakfasts and lunches and one dinner). Participants are responsible for their own lodging. Attendees who complete the boot camp will be considered Emerge America alumna and have access to alumnae resources, as well as continuing education opportunities for alumnae. Tuition may be paid by personal or campaign committee accounts. Due to campaign finance regulations, Emerge America and its affiliates cannot provide scholarships to boot camp participants.
