Navigating Through Online Lives as Modern Learners (5/28/15)
Throughout the year we have worked to establish a school-wide Digital Citizenship curriculum for our students.  With every student using a mobile device, it’s more important than ever to begin "empowering students to think critically, behave safely, and participate responsibly in our digital world.” (Common Sense Media).  This work of empowering our students in understanding their digital life and your commitment to it is important.  As with all of our endeavors, we are striving to make sure that this Digital Citizenship work is in line with our mission:  Blake Middle School believes in a living mission statement, based on the concept that our community seeks and respects knowledge, integrity, character, wisdom, and the willingness to adapt to a continually evolving world.

Please join us for a Parent Workshop focused on this topic on Thursday, May 28 at 9:30 a.m.  Our Digital Citizenship team comprised of teachers and administration will provide on overview of our work over the past year as well as outline the work that lies ahead.  To RSVP for this discussion, please enter the following information.  Please enter the name(s) for each parent/guardian attending the presentation.
