Open edX Conference 2017 Call for Proposals
Open edX Con is the annual conference of the Open edX Community, focused on the development and use of the Open edX platform, the free and open source learning experience system originally developed by edX. The 2017 conference will be held May 24th and 25th at the Leganés campus of Universidad Carlos III Madrid in Madrid, Spain.

The Open edX platform is used all over the world to host Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs), as well as smaller classes and training modules in academic, professional development, and many other (often unanticipated!) settings. This conference targets Open edX developers, system administrators, education specialists, and anyone who works with, teaches on, or wants to learn more about the Open edX platform.

We welcome you to submit a session proposal for Open edX 2017. We are particularly interested in proposals in the following areas:

* Analytics & research
* Deployment & technical deep dives
* Extending and integrating the platform
* Innovative courses, in particular in higher education, social impact, and professional development & training
* Course authoring, production and promotion techniques
* Trends in online learning and training, for instance: online credentials, professional development, lifelong learning

Please note that we will consider proposals outside of these areas as well, but these are the tracks we are projecting for the conference.

We are accepting proposals for 40-minute sessions, lightning talks (5 minutes), and workshops (90 minutes, during Hands on Days). If you are interested in organizing a panel, please contact with the subject “Open edX Con CFP.”

Please submit all proposals by March 1st, 2017.

We look forward to hearing from you.
