Step 5: Select Create Page.
Edit the Page
The Web Page Editor will load and your page will look similar to this figure.
Across the top of the page are your tools, many similar to word processor or email functions and a few other things (like HTML).
INSERT - insert is used to add content to the site page.
Include gadgets, pictures, YouTube videos, charts, spreadsheets, etc.
FORMAT – format allows you to adjust the text as necessary.
You can define Headers and paragraphs, create Superscripts and Subscripts, or clear the formatting.
Alternatively, you can use a program called WordPad to cut and paste your content into first and then cut and paste your content into the web site page. This is a preferred way to transfer text.
Move the text this manner removes all proprietary formatting code that determines styles such as bullets, bold text, etc.
This does create an extra step in creating a page.
TABLE - tables are used to display data in a manner that provide a means for comparisons. These help us identify trends, see patterns or find relationships.
Warning: Tables should not be used to format the layout of content on pages. In other words to hold pictures of data that is not being compared.
LAYOUT – allows you to control the look and feel of the page.
One column, two columns, or other.
Keep your pages simple, but have fun.
Now you are ready to add the information you need.
Don’t forget to Save your work.
Need to make a change, select Edit Page and The Web Page Editor will load.
If you need a series of pages to be similar in layout you can create a site page template.
The next time you want to create a new page this template will be available in the “Page Template Type” list (Step 3 above).
