Drive Electric Ann Arbor Workplace Charging Challenge Pledge

Ann Arbor area businesses and employers are being asked to sign the Workplace Charging Challenge pledge in an effort to achieve a tenfold increase in the number of Ann Arbor employers offering workplace charging in the next five years.

DEA2P is working to support the Department of Energy's nation-wide effort to make plug-in electric vehicles (PEVs) as affordable and convenient as their gas-powered counterparts by 2022. In accepting the Challenge and signing on as a partner, your business is making a bold commitment to provide PEV charging access to your workforce and helping fill the gap in access to PEV charging opportunities. The ability to charge at work can potentially double your employees' all-electric daily commuting range. The Drive Electric A2 Partnership will help you assess employee demand for PEV workplace charging and help develop plans for installing new charging stations. No matter where your organization is in the workplace charging implementation process, being a Challenge participant offers benefits and resources along the way.

1. Sign this pledge* and identify a primary point of contact for the organization

2. Assess charging demand at the worksite with help from DEA2P

3. Develop a plan within six months of signing to deploy charging infrastructure based on employee demand

4. Share progress to help DEA2P gather best practices for future charging installations and help motivate others to join the challenge

*By signing this pledge your organization is also joining the Department of Energy's EV Everywhere Workplace Charging Challenge. A representative from the DOE Workplace Charging Challenge may be in touch to learn more about your pledge goals and progress.
