Member Benefits
Being an active DCTC member offers growth for your business through promotional opportunities,
networking and valuable alliances. DCTC has dedicated volunteer representatives for Membership,
Events, Marketing and Government Liaison. It is the DCTC Members who run the organisation and
the benefits of DCTC actions generally result in enhancement of the wider community, for e.g.
lobbying for the 1770 foreshore development, for paid visitor information centre staff, bringing
the Community Bank to the area, creating the SES Grounds Stage facility, numerous upgrades of
cycle and pedestrian paths, street lighting, signage and more.

Key priorities for DCTC:
• Put our local businesses in front of the visitors thanks to the DCTC website VisitAgnes1770.com.au
• Staging of the annual Agnes Blues, Roots & Rock Festival and 1770 Festival
• Tourism and / or Economic Development Officer based in Agnes Water
• Co-ordinated Event Calendar
• Digital upgrades
• Bike path extension to interconnect our twin towns & for safe passage of cyclists & pedestrians
• Signage: brown tourist drive trail from the south and green road signs to include both Town of 1770
& Seventeen Seventy, entrance to Town, local walking trails, kangaroo signage on Springs Road to
be replaced and beach accesses highlighted (e.g. Agnes beach, Springs Beach)
