Professional Development Institute Application
The DC Collaborative and DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities are co-presenting a special Arts Integration Professional Development Institute. Thank you for your interest. Please submit one application per session that you wish to propose. If your session is approved, the DC Collaborative has up to $600 per 2 hour session budgeted.

When: Saturday, September 26th
Where: Capital City Public Charter School
PD Institute Audience: For teachers in the public education system of all subject areas Pre-K(3)-12 who are interested in integrating the arts into their curriculum.
Workshop Length: 2 hours
Apply by: September 4th, 2015

Selection will be based on educator survey responses and a peer quality review. Selected Arts Integration PD Institute sessions will receive supplementary funding of up to $600 per two hour session.

Based on the surveys collected so far, educators are interested in the following topics (in order of educator preference):
Arts Integration and Early Childhood Education
Utilizing Arts Integration to Enhance Common Core
Utilizing Arts Integration to Build a Community of Engaged Learners
Arts Integration and Literacy/Language Arts
Arts Integration and Math
Arts Integration and Science
Arts Integration and History/Geography

They are also interested the most in the following artistic disciplines  (in order of educator preference):
Theater
Media/Film
Photography
Music
Visual Arts
Storytelling
Literary Arts

Please Note: Each teacher will be provided with a participation certificate indicating the contact hours and a syllabus to turn into your school administration and the Office of the State Superintendent of Education for re-licensure.
