SIPS Conference 2017
The SIPS conference committee seeks input from attendees about the content of the July 30-August 1 meeting in Charlottesville, VA.  Before responding to this survey, please review the short concept document about the conference format here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1V1ZMuNDqFcSuJ-P6D5t8_-sir1PIY0Ukyo4jmG-nELA/edit

This open-ended survey will provide raw content for planning and generating a more specific survey of scope of activities to be circulated closer to the meeting date.

Most of SIPS will be in unconference format in which the meeting content is decided by the attendees at the start of the meeting.  What topics are you most interested in seeing covered at the meeting?
SIPS will include training sessions for improving skills with software, methodologies, statistics, or other topics.  For what topics would you like to receive training at SIPS (if any)?
For what topic(s) would you like to deliver a training (if any)? How long would the session be?
SIPS will include hack-a-thon sessions for crowdsourced collaboration on existing or well-defined projects (examples: outreach to journals to improve transparency policies, design of IRB templates for data sharing, development of sample job ads, creating a research methods syllabus for promoting reproducibility, designing webinar training series, developing collective action strategies by reviewers, designing a new journal).  For what topics would you like to participate in a hack-a-thon (if any)?
For what topic would you like to organize a hack-a-thon (if any)? How long would it be? How many people would be needed for success?  [Note: For initial/exploratory ideas, unconference sessions are more appropriate to start, hack-a-thons may then emerge at the meeting.]
SIPS will include a few "typical" presentations on content/topics of substantial interest.  Who would you like to see present at SIPS?
