Student Assemly Summer Experience Grant (SASEG)Cornell freshmen, sophomores & juniors up to $3000The SASEG is designed to aid students to complete summer unpaid or minimally paid career-related experiences. It is meant to help students who would not be able to take on a summer career-related experience or would have a difficult time doing so. The funds are drawn from the Students Helping Students fund. Develop Your Own (DYO) Summer Internship ProgramStudents with work studyThe Develop Your Own Internship Program provides a summer subsidy for students with work-study funding to develop their own paid internships with nonprofit organizations or small for-profit companies. If all aspects of the DYO Program are satisfied, Cornell will reimburse the employer for a portion of your wages: nonprofit employers receive up to 75 percent and for-profit employers 50 percent of your gross earnings. Latina/o Studies Research GrantSophomores, juniors and seniors with at least a 3.0 GPAUndergraduate research grants are available to students who wish to engage in research projects whose ultimate goal is to enhance the understanding and knowledge of the Latina/o experience in the United States. Preference is given to registered Latina/o Studies minors for these awards. Preference will be given to proposals for research projects that are to be conducted during the regular academic year, but proposals for intersession and summer research will be considered if the project can only be conducted during this period.
