Colbert County Schools Strategic Plan Input Form (2015-2020)
The Mission of the Colbert County Schools is to provide a challenging curriculum with supportive learning environments that promote shared involvement between the district, parents, students, and stakeholders. In order to effectively fulfill our mission we are currently undergoing district accreditation. Accreditation is a voluntary method of quality assurance that distinguishes schools adhering to a set of standards. Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS CASI) District Accreditation is the highest honor a school system can receive from the quality assurance organization. While accreditation is a set of rigorous protocols and research-based processes for evaluating an institution’s organizational effectiveness, it is far more than that. Today accreditation examines the whole institution—the programs, the cultural context, the community of stakeholders—to determine how well the parts work together to meet the needs of students. As such, we are asking for stakeholder input into the Colbert County Schools Strategic Plan. Please take the time to read the Strategic Plan and provide your input regarding the plan on this form.
