HIST 276: “America and Postwar Europe”, mid-May to early June
This course represents an opportunity for CNU students to study in Europe during the summer to explore the American relationship to three important postwar capitals: one western (Vienna), one eastern (Prague), and one divided (Berlin). We will use history as our laboratory to examine the volatile political and cultural transformations from the Second World War to the Cold War to the present, and the contests between democracy, fascism, and communism. And we will observe the theme of Americanization in its various forms
Please fill out this application form for the Study Abroad Program in Europe. Your application will be reviewed by Dr. Falk and Dr. Puaca along with your Essay and you will be contacted by email about your acceptance. If you are accepted to the program, we will have follow-up paperwork you will need to fill out at the CNU study abroad office in the Fall Semester.
Once accepted, please bring a check for $800 made payable to CNU to the study abroad office in McMurran 104 for your deposit to hold your space in the program. Payment deadlines are:
Friday, December 7, 2012 -- $800 (Deposit)
Monday, January 21, 2013 -- $2000
Thursday, February 21 -- $1000 (or balance due)
