Support the Immigrant Vote in Queens- Make our voices heard
Are you looking to give back to your community? Do you want to impact the next election cycle by helping your community? Then consider volunteering for Chhaya CDC. Chhaya CDC is a non-profit community based organization based in Jackson Heights, Queens that works with New Yorkers of South Asian origin to advocate and build economically stable, sustainable and thriving communities.

Chhaya CDC is looking for well-organized and energetic volunteers for its innovative voter engagement work to increase turnout in neighborhoods, with a focus on connecting with underrepresented immigrant communities. The position’s primary function is to reach out communities in identified areas of Jackson Heights, Woodside, Richmond Hill, Jamaica, Hollis and Queens Village through in person canvassing and door knocking; and through phone banking for the April 19th Presidential Primary Election in New York. The phone banking will take place at our offices in Jackson Heights.

This is a wonderful opportunity for volunteers to get involved and participate in non-partisan voter engagement work in the election, build community leadership skills, and learn more about and interact with the immigrant communities in these neighborhoods.
