Chhaya CDC is looking for well-organized and energetic volunteers for its innovative voter engagement work to increase turnout in neighborhoods, with a focus on connecting with underrepresented immigrant communities. The position’s primary function is to reach out communities in identified areas of Jackson Heights, Woodside, Richmond Hill, Jamaica, Hollis and Queens Village through in person canvassing and door knocking; and through phone banking for the April 19th Presidential Primary Election in New York. The phone banking will take place at our offices in Jackson Heights.
This is a wonderful opportunity for volunteers to get involved and participate in non-partisan voter engagement work in the election, build community leadership skills, and learn more about and interact with the immigrant communities in these neighborhoods.
If you are interested to join us in any of these activities, please fill out the form and if you have any questions please call, Rasel Rahman at 718-478-3848 Ext. 23 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. If you would like to know more about our work, please visit our website www.chhayacdc.org
