Celebrate the Book & Paper Arts with Octavofest Events at Kelvin Smith Library

Kelvin Smith Library will host several events as part of Octavofest, an annual celebration of the book and paper arts during the month of October. This year’s events center around the theme of travel and are free and open to the public. Join artist Aimee Lee for a workshop to learn to create your own travel journals using fine art papers. Each participant will create variations of two different types of bindings. Materials needed to make the journals will be provided. Following the workshop, guest presenters Amy Kesegich and Jared Bendis will share their travel experiences and journals. Please Note: Workshop is limited to the first 25 participants who register. DATES & TIMES Both events are Saturday, Oct 19th in the Dampeer Room (Kelvin Smith Library, 2nd floor) Travel Journal Workshop is 9 – 11 a.m. Travel Presentation is 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.
