#ProtectOurPatients: Action in DC to Protest ACA Repeal (Monday, January 9th)
Students and health providers from across the country are mobilizing to stand up for healthcare over the next four years. The first battle in D.C. is imminent: the ACA will be up for repeal come January. And we're going to be there.

The strategy for our action has been guided by our partners at Community Catalyst, Doctors for America, and Families USA in D.C., supported by the Protect Our Care coalition. We need a commitment from as many health professionals and students as possible to be in Washington D.C. on the 9th, and to stand for our patients!

Sunday, January 8th: Student Summit (agenda here -- https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-QfQlMEmpm9OS1zUGtVQnkwRHM/view)

Monday, January 9th: Day of Action (Facebook event here -- https://www.facebook.com/events/1362539103785898/).

Details:

10:00 AM: Gather at the Department of Health and Human Services (200 Independence Ave SW, Washington, DC 20201) for a patient-centered protest and press conference. Bring your white coats!

12:00 PM: March to the Capitol Building. Providers and patients side-by-side.

12:30 - 5:00 PM: Deliver petitions to Senators or their staff at meetings scheduled by students from each state.

This will also be an opportunity for students and providers from across the country to come together and start building the connections that will sustain a true movement to defend healthcare throughout the next four years, and beyond.

----------------------------------------

#ProtectOurPatients is a grassroots movement of future health providers standing for access to healthcare for all Americans. Our first campaign is to advocate against the repeal of the Affordable Care Act through coordinated local efforts and action in Washington D.C. We welcome all health providers and students to join our campaign.
