MLK Day of Service with GenerationOn 1/21

*Description:
Be a team leader at this huge community-wide service day where 500 children and families from the East Harlem community will join together in projects benefitting 1000 neighbors in-need citywide. StudentsforService team leaders will manage projects and supervise the younger volunteers and their families in projects ranging from making disaster kits for Sandy victims to painting MLK-themed murals.  Participants will also view Soundtrack for a Revolution, a film on Martin Luther King, Jr., and help lead discussions on critical issues facing their communities and how they can inspire others to take action for change.

*Where: PS 57 176 E. 115th St.
*When: Monday, January 21st (no school that day) from 8:30am-2pm
*What:  tasks ranging from making disaster kits for Sandy victims to painting MLK-themed murals.
