First-Gens Mentor Application 16-17
First-Gens@Brown aims to serve as a community and resource for Brown students who are the first in their families to attend college. We will raise awareness about first-gen issues at Brown and nationwide.

Our peer mentorship program will pair Brown students to build a cohesive community among those who share the first-gen identity. First-gens have a separate and unique need that is not catered to by any other current advising system. We will focus on learning how to ask for help and building relationships with faculty and grad students who share our same background. As a student-driven initiative, mentors and mentees will work together to focus on each other's success - not only at Brown, but outside of Brown as well.

*Undergraduate* deadline: October 2, 2016 at 11:59pm
