When you think of BronyCon, what comes to mind? Attending some amazing panels? Checking out the bustling activity rooms? Rocking out at BronyPalooza? All those things and more would not exist without the work of the BronyCon Events department.

The Events team is responsible for all the programming and audio visual needs of BronyCon. We do everything from assisting panelists in their panel planning, organizing game tournaments, and wrangling cosplayers in contests and photoshoots to running a sound board in a panel room, micing up guests for the main stage, and putting up creative visuals for our concert. If you think any or all of those things sound like things you'd want to do, then Events is the department for you!

Please note that you must be at 18 years old (or older) by the Thursday before the convention to work, and you must be at the convention by early afternoon on the Thursday before the convention.

    Positions

    We have a wide variety of positions available in the Events department. Please read the job descriptions below and check off which positions you would be interested in pursuing. Other positions may be available in the future or may be offered at the time of interview. - Panelist Relations - We are looking for customer service oriented people for this position. Our Panelist Relations staff act as the primary contact for all of our panelists both pre-con and at-con. They help panelists get all their information together so their panel and their time at BronyCon will go smoothly. - Activity Coordinator - The Activity Coordinators get to help create the activity rooms that everyone enjoys at BronyCon. At the convention these individuals get to run the activities in their respective room and watch them come to life. We are currently looking for staff for the Miscellaneous Room (Harmony Plaza). Some rooms include more specific responsibilities. - Panel Room Staff - Panel Room staff will be in charge and run our different panel rooms. They will prepare any A/V needs for panelists and operate the equipment during the panels. They will also make sure the room remains on schedule by controlling attendee flow and generally supervising the room. - BronyPalooza Staff - Qualified individuals are needed to design and run the fandom's largest Brony Concert. We're seeking experienced lighting designers, FOH and monitor engineers, and technical directors for any and all aspects of our production. - Office Administrator - The Office Administrator will be responsible for maintaining the programming schedule at the convention, including the schedules of Events staff. They will be in charge of knowing where everyone in the Events staff is at all times, and making sure everything is ready to go on time. This position is also known as "Events Dispatch". - Breezy - This position is a jack of all trades. Their main responsibility at con is to hang out in the Events office and assist as needed. They will also act as an Events gopher to bring anything from the office to rooms, or vice versa, or to help fill in for other Events staff.
